Our Jaguar Honey comes from Tarrazú, the place where the pioneers started exporting coffee from Costa Rica to the world. Produced in Beneficio San Diego, one of the three largest mills in Costa Rica and in fact the most modern.
Jaguar Honey, as its name suggests, is a honey-processed coffee. Compared to other treatments, water use is very low. Due to a shorter fermentation period, coffee acquires an intermediate acidity between natural and washed coffees. In this way, farmers produce coffee with some of the unique characteristics of natural coffees in less time and with lower risks, such as overfermentation.
